Lumbini Province Government Approves Budget Presentation for Fiscal Year 2083/84

Butwal. The Lumbini Province Government has approved the presentation of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 in the Provincial Assembly. The Council of Ministers meeting chaired by Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya on Monday approved the presentation of the budget, appropriation bill, and finance bill for the upcoming fiscal year in the Provincial Assembly.

After the meeting, government spokesperson and Health Minister Ramji Prasad Ghimire informed that the proposals presented by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning were approved by the Council of Ministers.

According to him, as per the constitutional arrangement, the Provincial Government will present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year in the Provincial Assembly on Asar 1. A meeting of the Provincial Assembly has been called for 5 PM on Monday to present the budget.

The Council of Ministers has approved the presentation of the appropriation bill related to the allocation and expenditure of funds from the Provincial Reserve Fund for services and operations for the fiscal year 2083/84 in the Provincial Assembly.

Similarly, the finance bill necessary for the implementation of the Provincial Government's financial proposals and the budget speech including the estimate of revenue and expenditure for the upcoming fiscal year have also been approved for presentation in the Provincial Assembly.

Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning Dhanendra Karki will present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year in the Provincial Assembly. The size of the budget, resource management, and priority areas will be informed through the budget speech.
