Four Arrested for Defrauding Over NPR 3 Million in Foreign Employment Scam

Kathmandu. Four people have been arrested on charges of defrauding the public of more than NPR 3 million by luring them with attractive salaries in foreign employment.

A police team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Suman Shahi, 29, of Sindhupalchok, Ved Bahadur Sunuwar, 47, of Ramechhap, Anil Agarwal, 45, of Jhapa, and Vivek Adhikari, 37, of Tanahu from various locations.

Investigations revealed that they extorted large sums of money from the public by promising to send them to Croatia, Switzerland, Austria, and France. The Central Police Newsroom stated that they have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, for necessary investigation and action.
