Tractor accident in Salyan claims one life

Salyan, January 8 — A tractor accident in Salyan has resulted in the death of one individual at the scene.

The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Kshhetra Bahadur Khatri from Mayani, a village in Chhatreshwari Rural Municipality-1.

According to the Salyan Police, the accident occurred early this morning when a tractor, registered as LU. Pro. 0200 0012, was traveling from Bhalumare to Mayani.

The tractor veered off the road and fell into a ditch near Mayani.

Baburam Basnet, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, Salyan, confirmed that the tractor had fallen several meters off the road.

The driver of the vehicle has fled the scene, and police are currently conducting a search to locate him.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
