Police arrest two for assault and racial abuse of Janakpur Bolts fan

Kathmandu, December 23 — Two individuals have been arrested by the police for assaulting a young man outside the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground after the final match between Janakpur Bolts and Sudurpashchim Royals.

On Saturday, a group of individuals attacked Aman Kumar Singh, who is from Balara, Sarlahi, near the gate of Tribhuvan University.

An official from the Kathmandu District Police Range informed Ratopati that the two individuals involved in the assault were arrested.

The arrested individuals are Ashok Saud and Ganesh Saud.

Aman Kumar, a supporter of Janakpur Bolts, is accused of being subjected to racial and communal abuse.

The Kirtipur Police Station is currently investigating the incident.
