Decision to take action against those who mistreat doctors

KATHMANDU, Sep 27: A meeting of stakeholders including Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha and Health Minister Mohan Basnet has decided to take action against those that mistreat doctors, informed the spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs Kedarnath Sharma.

It has been decided to instruct the subordinate bodies to punish those involved in the acts of mistreating and abusing doctors and health professionals working inside the country in recent times. It has also been decided to hold the meeting of the Security Coordination Committee regularly according to the Act related to the safety of health workers and health institutions-2066.

Similarly, it has been decided to paste the public notice regarding the penalties and punishments as per the Act related to the safety of health workers and health institutions-2066, in health institutions all over the country where it is noticed by everyone. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs Sharma informed that the preparations for pasting the notice in the health institutions will be made by the Ministry of Health and Population.
