Aviation traffic congestion at TIA due to passenger surge

Kathmandu, September 30 — Due to an overwhelming number of passengers, there has been an air traffic jam at Tribhuvan International Airport. The disruption of traffic on the country’s main highways has led many travelers to choose air travel.

As a result, the airport office has reported that all flights are delayed by 1 to 2 hours.

On Sunday alone, there were 426 departures and arrivals at Tribhuvan International Airport for both domestic and international flights.

Airport General Manager Jagannath Niraula has indicated that a similar number of flights are expected on Monday. “When we have to serve many passengers at once, there are some delays. At times, certain flights need to be held while managing the arrivals and departures.”

Thanks to clear weather, regular flights have been operating at airports across the country since early Monday morning.
