Asian Games: India to face Sri Lanka in finals of Women's Cricket

KATHMANDU, Sep 24: India will face Sri Lanka in the finals for the Women's Cricket title in the 19th Asian Games held in China.

Sri Lanka advanced to the finals after defeating Pakistan by 6 wickets in the second semi-final match on Sunday. 

After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Pakistan scored 75 runs after losing nine wickets in the stipulated overs. In response, Sri Lanka achieved victory by losing only four wickets in 16.3 overs.

In the first semi-final match played earlier, India defeated Bangladesh by a wide margin of eight wickets.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Bangladesh only scored 51 runs before being bowled out in 17.5 overs. India responded by achieving the target, losing only two wickets, in 8.2 overs.

The two powerhouses will now face each other tomorrow at 2 p.m. (Chinese time) for the title.
