Madan Bhandari Highway damaged by flood in Bagmati

MAKAWANPUR, Aug 8: The flood in the Bagmati River has damaged some parts of the Madan Bhandari Highway. The road in the Bagmati Rural Municipality-4 of the Madan Bhandari Highway in Makawanpur was cut by the flood.

District Police Office Makwanpur informed that the flood in the Bagmati River due to continuous rain has cut off the road near the Bagmati Bridge connecting Bagmati Rural Municipality of Makwanpur and Hariharpurgarhi Rural Municipality of Sindhuli.

The flood has also entered the houses on the banks of the river. According to the police, there was no damage as the people of 6 houses in that place moved to other places after the flood.

As the flood cut the road, the big vehicles going through the section of the road are stopped on the way. Motorcycles, however, are able to pass through.
