UML to obstruct HoR and NA meetings as protest to PM’s expression, demands PM’s resignation
KATHMANDU, July 5: CPN UML has decided to obstruct the meetings of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly as a protest to the controversial expression by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, informed UML parliamentary party whip Mahesh Bartaula.
Following this, CPN UML, the main opposition party of the government, also demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister at the beginning of the National Assembly meeting. UML parliamentary party leader Devendra Dahal demanded PM Dahal’s resignation claiming that the PM’s expression is unacceptable.
With UML’s obstruction, the National Assembly meeting has also been adjourned.
In a book release event of a book by the businessman Pritam Singh, PM Dahal had given an expression that Pritam Singh went to Delhi many times to make Prachanda the Prime Minister. However, Prachanda clarified on Wednesday that he said what Pritam Singh had said.
