Lalita Niwas Case accused Min Bahadur Gurung arrested

KATHMANDU, June 27: The operator of the Bhatbhateni Supermarket Min Bahadur Gurung has been arrested. The Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) team arrested him from his residence in Naxal in the Lalita Niwas Case.

Gurung is accused of embezzling 299 Ropanis 3 Aanas of government land of Lalita Niwas. He was on the absconding list of the Police. Gurung was found to have purchased the most land in connivance with Shobha Kanta Dhakal, Ram Prasad Subedi, and Land Revenue Office’s Hupendra Mani KC and Tika Ghimire in the case.

In the year 2077 BS, the special court demanded a bond of twenty million rupees from businessman Gurung. He appeared in court a year after the case was filed.
