Nepal Student Union protest in front of Parliament House (with pictures)

KATHMANDU, June 14: Nepal Student Union has demonstrated a protest in front of the Parliament building.

Students of Trichandra Campus and other various campuses affiliated with the Union demonstrated on Wednesday demanding the implementation of the Higher Education Act 2076, Federal Education Act and other laws.

They demanded the government and the Minister of Education to present the 'Higher Education Act' and the 'Federal Education Act' to the Parliament after necessary discussion in the Education Committee of the Parliament. They also warned to continue the protest if the government remains passive. 

The police arrested some student leaders and activists from the venue.
