Fire guts property worth over Rs 5.6 million in Panchthar

Panchthar–Property worth millions of rupees has been gutted by fire at Tinden of Kummyak rural municipality in Panchthar district this morning.

The property worth over Rs 5.6 million was gutted when fire destroyed the house, a shop and all goods kept inside.

The house of Til Bikram Sambahamphe of Kummyak rural municipality-4 caught fire due to short circuit, said police. In-charge of Area Police Post, Yasok, Ban Bahadur Chauhan, said that the fire destroyed 150,000 cash, and 10 tolas of gold of Sambahamphe.

Similarly, the house of Lekhnath Khanal also suffered partial damages due to fire. Locals and security personnel brought the fire under control with two hours efforts.
