Two including former lawmaker Bhandari killed in road mishap

Tamghas–Two persons died and eight others were injured in a road accident at Musikot municipality in Gulmi district this morning. The deceased have been identified as former lawmaker Rudramani Sharma Bhandari, 65, of Dhurkot rural municipality-5 and right-year-old Vaskar Bishwokarma of Malika rural municipality-1, said Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Gulmi, Rabindra Bahadur Khadka.

The accident took place when a jeep (Lu 1 Ja 1957) heading towards Tamghas from Darlin of Malika rural municipality fell 200 meters off the road at Chaindanda of Musikot municipality, said a local Mohan Ghimire.

Bhandari of Nepali Congress was elected as the member of House of Representatives from Gulmi constituency-3 in 2048 BS.

Of the injured, four have been undergoing treatment at local health intuition and the remaining four are being brought to Gulmi Hospital, Tamghas. The jeep driver was critically injured in the incident, it is learnt. ---
