Two persons including foreign tourist injured in rhino attack

Chitwan– Two persons including a foreign tourist were injured from rhino attack at Dudhaura, eastern part of Chitwan National Park this morning.

The injured are Australian national William Peter, 19, and tourist guide Jitu Mahato, 19, of Odara of Sauraha, said Game Scout of National Park, Deepak Kumal.

Of the injured, condition of the foreign tourist is critical. However, other two tourists in the team of visitors are safe. The incident took place when a rhino with its baby chased the tourists, who had gone for walking in the jungle, and attacked them.

Park staffs, security personnel, hotel entrepreneurs, tourist guides had reached the incident site soon after the incident to rescue them.
