Disaster response materials handed over

Bhaktapur–Nepal Army's Birdal battalion based in Suryabinayak handed over disaster response materials worth Rs 1 million to the District Disaster Management Committee of Bhaktapur. 


At a programme on Sunday, the NA handed disaster response materials including rescue rope, safety helmet, ladder, life jacket, fire engine and chains. 


Likewise, the NA battalion has also imparted a two-day training on disaster risks reduction beginning on Sunday. 
As many as 67 personnel from NA, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have been trained in Bhaktapur on disaster risks reduction and rescue operations. 


Suryabinayak municipality Mayor Basudev Thapa and Nepal Army Kathmandu Valley Division Chief Shashi Chandra Bahadur Singh jointly inaugurated the materials management store. 


The NA Birdal Battalion felicitated Roman Shilakar for providing materials used for disaster risks reduction and management. ---
