Army provides cost-free meal to flood-stricken
Rajbiraj - The Nepal Army (NA) on Thursday provided free meals to the flood –stricken at Deuri Bharuwa of Rajbiraj – 15, Saptari.
Around a thousand villagers struck by flooding in the Khando river received sets of rice, pulses and vegetables as part of the meal programme organized with support from the District Red Cross Society, Saptari.
The NA's Krishnadal Battalion provided the meal to the victims of flood in the area and also ran cost-free health camp.
NA's Krishnadal Battalion's Major, Surendra Dev Bogati, said 410 locals were treated at the health camp. At the camp set up with support of the District Public Health Office (DPHO), a team of six doctors were involved in the health check-up while medicines were distributed for free.
