Elderly man dies after being run over by bus in Ilam

Mangalbare, Ilam– An elderly man was killed after being run over by a passenger bus at Phakaphokathum Rural Municipality-1 in Ilam district today morning. The deceased has been identified as local resident Som Prasad Dahal.

The bus lost control following a brake failure and hit Dahal before overturning, said the police. The passengers on board the ill-fated bus escaped unhurt however. The police have taken under control the driver Sandesh Poudel.
