Inaruwa–A month-old child died after being administered a BCG vaccination at Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-3, Shivagunj tole of Sunsari on Thursday.
Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) Gyanendra Prasad Fuyal shared that local Shivu Khatwe’s one-month-old child, Shivam, breathed his last after being vaccinated.
Health worker Goma Dhakal deputed from health facility Bhokraha had administered vaccination to the child at 1.00 pm yesterday.
The child who went unconscious after vaccination was rushed to the district hospital. He died in course of the treatment.
The victim family members chanted slogans against the health facility and also attempted to manhandle health workers after the demise of the child.
Polie took control health worker Dhakal for further investigation. ---
