Jaleshwor municipality reeling under water shortage

Gaushala–Locals of Jaleshwor municipality of Mahottari district have been deprived of drinking water for the past one month. 

Around 1,181 households at ward no 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 of the municipality have been forced to walk a long distance to fetch drinking water. The locals have been facing inconvenience in their daily activities --cooking meal, washing clothes, taking bath - in lack of water. 

Administration Chief of Nepal Water Supply Corporation, Jaleshwor, Ajay Kumar Prasad, said that the Office stopped the supply of drinking water at the locality as the drinking water pipeline has been broken at many places in course of constructing drain.
