Dry port construction feasibility study team begins tasks
Kanchanpur - A feasibility study team of the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies has begun its works regarding the proposed dry port here since Sunday.
The team has begun the feasibility study for the construction of an inland container depot at Mahakali Municipality-10 in Kanchnapur district.
According to team leader Anil Marasini, the team has begun field study at the proposed site after holding discussions with local representatives, businessmen, entrepreneurs and other concerned sides.
Earlier, then Supplies Minister Lekhraj Bhatta and Indian authority-led team had prepared the preliminary draft for the same.
The preliminary draft incorporates constructing of the Asian Highway from Indian city Khatima to Bhimdattanagar and constructing another 25 kilometer road section from Khatima to Dodhara Chandani.
