Nepalis in the UK provide succour to cancer patient

Kathmandu – Nepali immigrants living in the UK have provided monetary help to a cancer patient. Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala handed Rs 168,000 collected by the Nepalis in the UK to Hom Kumar Lama amid a programme here. 


Lama has been suffering from blood cancer for the past one and a half year. The amount was collected at the initiative of Rajan Khakurel, leader of the Nepal Students Union, the student wing of the NC. 


On the occasion, General Secretary Koirala praised the Nepalis collecting money for a cancer patient. Lama, 23, a B.A. student from Netrawati-4 in Dhading is receiving treatment at Civil Hospital in Kathmandu
