Kathmandu – A person was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a microbus at local Lainchaur this morning. The victim is motorbike rider 30-year-old Prakash Tamang of Nuwakot.
The motorbike (Ba 64 Pa 9284) and the microbus (Ba 2 Kha 2068) collided with each other in front of the Department of Mines and Geology at Lainchaur at 6 am today, police said.
Joint spokesperson at the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Jeetesh Dahal, said Tamang who sustained critical injuries in the mishap died while being treated at the National Trauma Centre. Suraj Thapa who was pillion riding was injured in the accident. He is receiving treatment at the Centre. The microbus driver and the vehicle have been impounded.
