Flood survivors submit memo for 127 times

Parshuram – Flood survivors have demanded expediting a process to hand over 46 ropanis land purchased for the flood and landslide victims of Parshuram municipality of Dadeldhura. 


The disaster survivors who had been living a displaced life following devastation caused by heavy rain at municipality ward 2 and 3 on September 2006 called for the handover of the land purchased for their rehabilitation. 


In a landslide that occurred 13 years ago, some eight members of a family had lost their lives and 35 families were rendered displaced. 


To date, the survivors have submitted memorandum calling for expedition of land handover and rehabilitation works for 127 times. 


On Monday too, they had submitted a memorandum to the office of Chief Minister and Physical Infrastructure Ministry office through Dadeldhura District Administration Office. ---
