Heavy Rainfall Causes Flooding in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Due to heavy rainfall for some time in the federal capital Kathmandu, various roads and intersections have been submerged. Due to the inability of water to drain from the roads due to rain, water has accumulated in places like ponds. Especially in the Maitighar area, which is only a few meters away from the main administrative center Singha Durbar, the road is filled with water. The movement of vehicles passing through the area has also been severely affected due to waterlogging on the main road. Due to the submersion of the road, traffic jams have also been created in Maitighar and surrounding areas as vehicle drivers are unable to maintain lane discipline and move forward, and pedestrians have a lot of trouble crossing the road.
