Switzerland Reduced to 10 Men Against Argentina in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. Switzerland has been limited to 10 players in the quarter-final against Argentina under FIFA World Cup 2026.

In the 68th minute of the game, referee showed the second yellow card to Switzerland's forward Breel Embolo for diving inside the penalty area. Along with the second yellow card, he had to leave the field after receiving a red card.

Earlier, in the 67th minute of the game, Dan Ndoye had brought Switzerland back to a 1-1 tie by scoring. Argentina had taken the lead in the 10th minute through a goal by Alexis Mac Allister. Captain Lionel Messi had provided the assist for the goal.

Now, Argentina, with one extra player, will take advantage of the remaining time and search for a decisive goal, while Switzerland, limited to 10 players, will try to save the tie and take the game into extra time.
