Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ramprasad Bhandari Bids Farewell

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has bid farewell to Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ramprasad Bhandari.

Addressing the farewell program, Commission spokesperson Narayanprasad Bhattarai expressed gratitude and appreciation for Bhandari's role in enhancing the dignity of the commission. Bhattarai portrayed him as a soft-spoken, legal expert, and a guardian who guides through difficult situations. Bhattarai stated that Bhandari has already established himself as an excellent leader through his contributions in various tests faced by the nation during crises. Bhattarai added that Bhandari, who had already established himself as a senior advocate before joining the commission, has further refined his capabilities with the experience gained at the commission. Expressing confidence that the experience and skills gained during his tenure will be an important foundation for future success, Bhattarai also wished him a happy, healthy, and active future. Acting Chief Election Commissioner Bhandari led the successful completion of the election scheduled for Falgun 21 amidst the situation that arose after the Janji movement in Bhadra 2082. He played a role in bringing political parties and the Janji generation to participate in the election through correct decisions and the right path during a time of uncertainty about whether the election would be held or not.
