Traffic Police Book 2,157 Drivers for Violating Rules, Collecting Rs 2.1 Million in Revenue

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 157 drivers have been booked for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 2,140,546 has been deposited into the state treasury from this. According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 82 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 101 for illegal 'ride sharing', 105 for signal violations, and 117 for speeding.

Similarly, action has been taken against 77 for not following 'lane' discipline, 61 for honking in prohibited areas, 22 for operating vehicles with black film, 54 for driving on one-way streets, and 1,538 for not following other traffic rules.
