Mexico vs Ecuador FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Delayed Due to Bad Weather

Mexico City. Before the start of the exciting match between co-host Mexico and Ecuador, who are in the race for the Round of 16 of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the weather has become an obstacle in the stadium. 

The match has been postponed for some time due to bad weather swirling black clouds in the Azteca stadium before the match.

Supporters had started flocking to this national stadium of Mexico four hours in advance. However, the match could not be held at the scheduled time as heavy rain started falling from the sky after a warning was issued regarding stormy weather with loud thunder in the area. 

This match, which was supposed to start at 06:45 AM according to Nepali time, has been confirmed to be at least one hour late. Due to the rain, the players have not even been able to come down to the field and prepare for the match. 

The winner of this match will face the winner between England or the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) in the next round.
