France Defeats Sweden 3-0 to Advance to World Cup Round of 16

KATHMANDU. France has secured its place in the next round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers by defeating Sweden by a wide margin of 3-0 in a thrilling Round of 32 match. Star striker Kylian Mbappé scored two goals and young player Bradley Barcola added one goal in France's one-sided victory.

France, which put pressure on Sweden from the beginning of the match, took the lead in the final moments of the first half. In the 45th minute, Kylian Mbappé scored an excellent goal to give the team a 1-0 lead. Shortly after the start of the second half, in the 53rd minute, Bradley Barcola scored to double France's lead.

Similarly, in the 74th minute of the game, Mbappé scored his second personal goal to give France a sure 3-0 victory.
