Speaker Aryal Urges MPs to Be Responsible, Cites Public Scrutiny

Kathmandu. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has stated that voters and the public are observing the work, behavior, and style of MPs through various means, and urged all MPs to be more responsible towards their work.

Inaugurating an orientation program organized by the Federal Parliament Secretariat for the Members of the House of Representatives here today, he suggested that the people's representatives should learn from past good practices in lawmaking and be studious and tech-friendly.

"Many are new in the House of Representatives now. This program has been organized to further explain parliamentary methods and procedures and to make the work of MPs more effective," said Speaker Aryal. "I believe this learning will be beneficial for excelling in parliamentary procedures and methods." He emphasized that after being elected by the people, an MP's life enters public life from private life, and they must be responsible accordingly.

Welcoming the participants, Secretary-General of the Secretariat, Padmaprasad Pandey, stated that the Secretariat has organized a two-day orientation program on parliamentary procedures and practices with the objective of providing further information to the MPs about parliamentary procedures and methods.

The Secretariat has organized the orientation program at the Parliament Building complex in Singh Durbar on Monday and Tuesday with the objective of providing information to the MPs about parliamentary procedures and methods.
