General Secretary Bastola: Confusion in Leftist Movement Due to Similar Work by Election and War Communists

Kathmandu. General Secretary of NCP (Majority) Dharmendra Bastola has said that the leftist movement has weakened because the work of communists who came through elections and those who came through war is the same. Speaking at a book release program written by former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal on Monday, he clarified that the confusion seen in the leftist movement needs to be reviewed.

‘The work done by Madhav, Jhalanath, KP Oli who came from elections and Prachanda, Janardan who came from war became the same. The same happened in other countries too. Because of this, confusion was seen among the public,’ he said, ‘Confusion arose on the demarcation line of what is socialism? What is bourgeois democracy? We need to synthesize and break through now,’ he said.
