Norway Leads Senegal 1-0 at Halftime in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier

Kathmandu. In the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group 'I' match, Norway has taken a 1-0 lead against Senegal by the end of the first half.

In the match held at the New York-New Jersey stadium, Norway's Marcus Pedersen's goal in the 43rd minute became the decisive difference in the first half. Pedersen scored by taking advantage of a defensive mistake by Senegal's captain Kalidou Koulibaly.

Although both teams created some opportunities in the first half, they could not convert them into goals. Senegal tried for an equalizer, but Norway's defense looked strong.

Senegal, defeated by France in the first match, is under pressure, while Norway is moving towards a second consecutive positive result. If Norway can maintain this lead, its chances of entering the knockout stage will be strengthened.
