CPN-UML to Celebrate Jananeta Madan Bhandari's 75th Birth Anniversary

Kathmandu. CPN-UML is going to celebrate Jananeta Madan Bhandari's 75th birth anniversary in a grand manner. With that objective, a meeting of 24 people's organizations close to UML was held in Kathmandu today.

The meeting decided to celebrate the birth anniversary widely across the country on Ashad 14 with various programs. In the meeting chaired by Vishal Bhattarai, coordinator of the People's Organization Coordination Mechanism, leaders discussed advancing this year's birth anniversary as a creative, ideological, and organizational campaign.

Participating representatives expressed their commitment to actively mobilize all people's organizations to make the program successful.

Speaking at the meeting, which was also attended by former President Bidya Bhandari, UML Secretary Bhanubhakta Dhakal appealed to celebrate Madan Bhandari's birth anniversary across the country through creative programs, rather than limiting it to mere formality.

He said that it is the need of the hour to put into practice the political working style developed by Jananeta Bhandari by prioritizing public interest issues. He also called on the 24 people's organizations of the party to convey Madan Bhandari's ideas to the general public by conducting programs across the country.

Bheshraj Adhikari, secretary of the Madan Bhandari Foundation, informed at the meeting that preparations are being made to celebrate the birth anniversary this year as a special political and ideological program. According to him, a special discussion on the Jananeta's contribution will be held at the main ceremony in Kathmandu on Ashad 14.

A program has been scheduled at the National Assembly Hall in Kathmandu to hold a detailed discussion on the communist movement of Nepal and the political contribution of Jananeta Madan Bhandari. CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, CPN (Maoist Center) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, former Prime Ministers Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal, and Janata Samajwadi Party leader Upendra Yadav are scheduled to address the program.

The meeting also decided that all people's organizations will support the main program organized by the Foundation in Kathmandu on Ashad 14.
