Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis Closes Schools for Four Days Due to Extreme Heat

Kailali. Due to excessive heat in Dhangadhi, the sub-metropolis has decided to close schools for four days. Education Officer of the Sub-Metropolis, Jayaraj Jaishi, published a notice on Monday stating that schools had to be closed due to excessive heat. 

The notice mentions that community and institutional schools have been given leave from Ashar 9 to 12. 

'Due to the increasing extreme heat, there is a possibility of various health problems appearing in the students studying in schools, so keeping in mind the adverse effects, the study and teaching work will not be conducted for four days from Ashar 9, 2083, in all community and institutional schools of this sub-metropolis, and arrangements for leave will be made, with the leave to be compensated from the summer and winter breaks. This is for your kind information,' the sub-metropolis's notice states. 

The temperature in Dhangadhi and surrounding areas has reached around 40 degrees Celsius.
