Weather Forecast: Rain and Heatwaves Expected in Parts of Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the upper atmosphere's western low-pressure line, local winds, and easterly winds have a partial influence in Nepal, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Due to this influence, Koshi Province and the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces are generally cloudy. The rest of the Terai regions are mainly clear. 

This afternoon, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces' hilly and mountainous regions, Lumbini Province's hilly regions, and Koshi Province's Terai regions will generally be cloudy. Lumbini Province's hilly regions and Madhesh Province's Terai regions will be partly cloudy. The weather in other Terai regions will be mainly clear. 

Some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, and a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to experience moderate rain with thunderstorms. 

A few places in the Terai regions of Koshi Province and one or two places in Madhesh Province may also experience moderate rain with thunderstorms. Some places in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces will experience heatwaves, and some places in the Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will experience hot days. 

Tonight, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces' hilly and mountainous regions will generally be cloudy. The rest of the hilly and mountainous regions and Koshi Province's Terai will be partly cloudy, while other Terai regions will be mainly clear. A few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and one or two places in the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to experience moderate rain with thunderstorms. A few places in the Terai regions of Koshi Province may experience moderate rain with thunderstorms.
