2,598 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 1.7 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 598 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Revenue of Rs 1,786,501 has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 199 individuals who consumed alcohol, 167 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 120 signal light violators, and 168 who drove vehicles at high speed were penalized.

Similarly, 120 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 126 who honked in prohibited areas, 156 who 'parked' vehicles on the road shoulder, 186 who drove on one-way streets, and one thousand 356 others who did not follow traffic rules were penalized.
