Rastriya Swatantra Party's Sudurpashchim Province Convention Preparation in Final Stage

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)'s Sudurpashchim Province convention preparation is in the final stage. General Secretary Santoshraj Jaisi informed that about seven to eight hundred representatives will participate in the first provincial convention starting on Asar 1 in Dhangadhi. 

According to Jaisi, the leadership will be selected through an election process if consensus is not reached as much as possible. Asserting that the local and district conventions were successfully held peacefully, he expressed confidence that the provincial convention will also be completed peacefully. 

"The local and district conventions were completed peacefully here compared to other provinces. Conventions have been completed in all districts and 85 out of 88 local levels. Accordingly, preparations are being intensified to complete the provincial convention. We will send a letter to the center by evening to participate in the inaugural session," Jaisi told Ratopati. 

He asserted that no discussion has taken place so far for the new leadership. However, he said that he wants to further strengthen the organization by being re-elected as General Secretary. Current Chairman E. Prakash Bist has appeared as an aspirant for the post of Chairman. 

From the convention, a chairman, a vice-chairman, a general secretary, two joint general secretaries (ensuring representation of different genders), a treasurer, a spokesperson, and a 43-member provincial committee will be elected.
