CPN-UML Lawmaker Kandela: National Pride Projects Unlikely to Complete in 25 Years

Kathmandu. CPN-UML lawmaker Pushparaj Kandel has said that the government's current allocation will not complete the National Pride projects even in the next 25 years. 

He stated that although the Rastriya Swatantra Party's manifesto aimed to complete all under-construction National Pride projects within 2 years, the budget does not reflect that. 

Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, he said that no programs were included in the budget, and where they were, very little budget was allocated to the projects. Citing the Mid-Hilly and Karnali highways as examples, he said it is impossible for the projects to be completed in years with a budget of 2 billion and 1 billion respectively. He expressed the view that it is not clear even with the 5 kharba budget kept by the Ministry of Finance under various headings.
