2,223 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 1.88 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 223 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. Rs 1.88 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 94 people who consumed alcohol, 150 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 177 signal light violators, and 118 who drove vehicles at high speed were penalized.

Similarly, 61 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 154 who honked in prohibited areas, 98 who 'parked' vehicles on the road shoulder, 120 who drove on one-way streets, and one thousand 251 who did not follow other traffic rules were penalized.
