Youth Found Dead in Dhangadhi; Police Suspect Foul Play

Dhangadhi. The body of a young man has been found in a state of being beaten to death in Dhangadhi, Kailali. The mystery of the incident has come to light after the identity of the unidentified body found on the bank of the Mohana River at Triveni Ghat in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. 9 on Jestha 24 was revealed.

Police investigation has revealed that the body found on the riverbank without name, surname, and residence was that of 20-year-old Rajkumar Rana, a resident of Gaderiya, Kailari Rural Municipality Ward No. 9. The police stated that as the investigation progressed, it was found that Rana did not die a natural death but was murdered.

According to the police, the investigation has confirmed that a group of four people, including 60-year-old Bamman Rana and 58-year-old Bhangu Rana, residents of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City Ward No. 8, beat Rajkumar to death. After committing the murder, they threw the body on the bank of the Mohana River at Triveni Ghat with the intention of hiding the evidence.

The police have taken 60-year-old Bamman Rana and 58-year-old Bhangu Rana into custody on suspicion of involvement in the murder. A case of culpable homicide has been registered against both the arrested individuals, and they have been taken into custody after extending their remand from the district court. The police have further advanced the investigation process. The police stated that the search for two other individuals involved in the incident who are currently absconding has been intensified.
