2,511 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 2.08 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 511 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. A revenue of Rs 2.08 million has been deposited into the state treasury from this.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 193 people who consumed intoxicating substances, 166 who engaged in 'ride sharing' against the rules, 129 signal light violators, and 167 who sped their vehicles have been penalized.

Similarly, 42 who did not follow 'lane' discipline, 165 who honked in prohibited areas, 156 who 'parked' vehicles on the road shoulder, 168 who drove on one-way roads, and one thousand 325 others who did not follow traffic rules have been penalized.
