11th Babin Memorial Open Badminton Tournament Successfully Concludes

Kathmandu. The '11th Babin Memorial Open Badminton Tournament' organized by King Kong Sports Club has been successfully concluded. The titles in various age groups of the veterans category have been decided in the tournament.

Players who performed excellently in the tournament received cash prizes. According to the organizers, the first place in each category received a cash prize of 30,000, the second place received 15,000, and the third-place pair received 7,000 rupees along with a trophy and certificate.

In the men's doubles category for above 45 years, the pair of Sanjay Kapali and Anil Thamsuhang of PFC became first. Similarly, the pair of Surendra Katuwal and Indra Mahata of PFC became second, while the pair of Rajkumar Pokharel and Amit Maharjan of Chandragiri Badminton Club secured the third position.

In the men's doubles competition for above 55 years, the pair of Chandra Kuber Khapung and Ganesh Chand of Nepal Police Club secured the first position. The pair of Dil Kandangwa and Hasta Gurung of Devid Sports became second, while the pair of Sudip Budhathoki and Krishna Thapa of Jorpați succeeded in becoming third.

In the open men's doubles, the pair of Sujan Thapa and Ram Mall Thakuri of Fitness Park became first, APF's Khitij Khanal and Devraj Rana became second, and Surya Darshan's Deepak Rana and Laxman Mall Thakuri became third. They received prizes of 45,000, 30,000, and 15,000 respectively.

Sujan Thapa and Ram Mall succeeded in becoming first in the open category.
