Nepal Army Participates in Multinational Military Exercise 'Ex Pragati'

Kathmandu. A 38-member team of the Nepali Army has participated in a multinational military exercise with the aim of further strengthening the long-term defense partnership between India and Nepal.

The Nepali Army team participated in the first edition of the multinational Neighboring Military Field Training Exercise 'Ex Pragati' organized by the Indian Army at FTN, Umroi from the 18th to the 31st.

According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, armies from 11 friendly nations, including Nepal, participated in this military exercise.

A three-member observer delegation led by Lieutenant General Pradip Jung KC of the Nepali Army also reached Umroi to participate in the validation phase and closing ceremony of the exercise. The team participated as observers in various closing programs organized from May 28 to 31.

This multinational exercise has developed the collective capability among the armies of the participating nations and promoted mutual operational coordination and trust. The embassy stated that this exercise has proven to be a milestone in further strengthening military relations with friendly nations at the grassroots level and enhancing mutual cooperation in military operations.
