Suspicious Body Found in Sack in Damak, Jhapa

Jhapa. A suspicious body of a woman has been found inside a sack in Damak, Jhapa. The body of a woman was found in the flowing water under the Ratuwa Khola bridge in Setumadi, Damak Municipality Ward No. 10, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa.

Local people informed the police after seeing the body in the river at around 11:00 AM. The body found was of a woman who appeared to be around 30 to 32 years old, wearing a red vest and jeans pants.

Police said that the body had been in the water for 2-3 days and was found in a decomposed state. As the body was packed in a white plastic sack and thrown into the river, the incident is highly suspicious and it is suspected that she may have been murdered and dumped.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a special investigation team led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from the Area Police Office, Damak, has been dispatched to the scene. The police team has completed the legal procedures at the scene and has begun a thorough investigation into the incident.

The name, surname, and address (residence) of the deceased woman have not been identified yet, and the body has not been identified. Police said that the deceased woman also has a tattoo on her left hand. According to Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Jhapa, efforts are underway to identify the deceased woman.
