Nepal Medical Association Demands 10% Budget for Health Sector

Kathmandu. Nepal Medical Association has demanded that at least 10 percent of the total budget be allocated to the health sector. The association made the demand by issuing a press release on Thursday.

The association has demanded that 10 percent of the total budget be allocated to further respect health services and create an environment for doctors to stay in the country, further securing the natural right of Nepali citizens to receive health services.

The association has also put forward a 6-point proposal, stating that amendments to the prevailing budget rules are necessary.
