Ward member Shakya arrested on charge of knife attack

Urlabari, Morang –Sachin Shakya, a local ward member, has been arrested on the charge of attacking a person with a knife. 

Shakya was elected ward member of Urlabari Municipality-6 in the recently held local level elections. Shakya was held on Sunday from Urlabari-4, said Inspector Ram Prasad Timalsina. 

An attempted murder charge has been filed against Shakya in the district court, he said. Shakya had been on the loose since a case has been filed charging him with attacking a local footballer Bishal Tamang with a knife over a dispute on June 21.
