MP Sajida Khatun Siddiki Demands Dialysis Machine Expansion in Government Hospitals

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) MP Sajida Khatun Siddiki has demanded that the government arrange sufficient dialysis machines in government hospitals across the country and expand services. Speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, MP Siddiki drew the government's attention to the great suffering faced by patients due to the lack of dialysis machines at Rapti Provincial Hospital. She stated that due to the lack of machines, patients are forced to come to Kathmandu for treatment, which adds a significant financial burden on them. She also suggested that the government immediately study which hospitals across the country need machines, keeping in mind the problems of patients and their families. Speaking at the meeting, MP Siddiki said, 'In terms of service delivery, public welfare, and protection of rights, human rights must be guaranteed. However, due to the shortage of dialysis machines at Rapti Provincial Hospital, patients are facing financial problems and have to travel to Kathmandu.' Through the Speaker, she requested the Government of Nepal to immediately provide dialysis machines as needed in all government hospitals across the country in the coming days.
