MP Amresh Kumar Singh Demands Timely Fertilizer and Payment for Sugarcane Farmers

Kathmandu. Ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh has demanded that the government make necessary arrangements for fertilizer on time for the farmers. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, he said that the government should immediately arrange for fertilizer as it is the time for paddy transplantation. He also expressed dissatisfaction, mentioning that the government has not provided fertilizer to the farmers so far. MP Singh also warned the government not to delay the payment to the sugarcane farmers. Speaking in the meeting, he said, 'Sugarcane farmers have not yet received money from the sugar mills. Sugarcane farmers have not received the subsidy provided by the government. I want to draw the government's attention to this so that the sugarcane farmers are paid soon and the subsidy provided by the government is also made available soon. Secondly, I want to urge the government that the paddy transplantation season is about to start. The government should arrange for adequate fertilizer. Because fertilizer has not been available so far. The paddy transplantation season will start in 10-15 days. Third, the erosion of the Bagmati should be managed properly.' MP Singh has also urged the government to take effective steps to provide relief to the citizens suffering from the erosion of the Bagmati River and to control the river.
