National Volleyball Player Punam Chand Ordered to Report to Police Headquarters

Kathmandu. National volleyball player Punam Chand has been directed to report to the police. Based on a letter from the National Police Training Institute, Police Headquarters has directed her to appear at the office within 7 days.

Police Constable Chand has been absent from the office since Chaitra 15, 2082. Her colleagues say that Chand, who is also a member of the national volleyball team, has gone to Australia. She is currently playing for a Sydney club in Australia.

Police Headquarters issued a notice on Jestha 11, directing Punam and other absent police employees to appear at the office with a satisfactory explanation for their absence.

According to Police Regulations 2071, a notice was previously posted at the addresses of police employees, including Chand, who were absent. Currently, the Nepali women's team is playing the KAVA women's volleyball on home court. However, Punam is not present on the court.
