Gambling den busted, 17 arrested

Bhaktapur –The Metropolitan Police Circle, Bhaktapur has arrested 17 people in a raid carried out in a gambling den at Suryabinayak of the district. 

Six of them were arrested from an under-construction house next to the land revenue office in ward no. 9 of the municipality. Those arrested are Arjun Duwal,57, of Banepa, Chitra Bahadur Tamang,35, of Timal rural municipality, Hari Bahadur Thapa,60, of Changunarayan, Rabindra Shakhakarmi and Kedar Shakhakarmi of the same location and Baldev Ghorasaini,55 of Sudal, Changunarayan, according to DSP at the circle Rewati Raman Pokharel. 
Police also confiscated Rs. 86,720 in cash and nine sets of cards. 

Likewise, 11 others were arrested from a house in ward no. 8 of Suryabinaya municipality. Those arrested include the house owner Bishnu Swanepa, Bhoj Tamang,45, and Nishan Lama,23, Surya Lama,37, Indra Lama,33, Akrosh

Tamang,26, of Roshi-9, Kavre, Amrit Lama,34, of Namobuddha-9, Narbhan Tamang,30, of Ramechhap, Anis Lama,39, of Mangaltar, Kavre, Yogendra Lama,27, of Timal-7, Kavre, and Bishal Tamang,33, of Suryabinayak-8. 
Police recovered Rs. 84,925 in cash and 21 sets of cards from the place.
